I completed my degree with High Honors (Magna Cum Laude) at Academia Superior de Ciencias Aeronauticas (ASCA) as an Air Traffic Controller, I am providing my service as an ATC and pilot instructor in the Dominican Air Force’s Control Tower. In regards to my first teaching experience, it was at Sunrise School (teaching science and ELA, grades 5th-8th). I also taught English at Colegio Claret and New Horizons Academy (ILTAE) as an ESL and Immersion English teacher. I collaborated in the creation of Claret’s Daycare and Language Institute where I worked as a General Coordinator and advanced English teacher as well. I started working at St Patrick’s School as a MS Literature teacher for the academic year before the pandemic. I am currently working at Mindful Community School, the 1st year as a MS Homeroom Literature, Geography, and Health teacher. Then as an Elementary Math and Science homeroom teacher. I have also collaborated with the development and implementation of the ESOL program for newcomers. Finally, I am working as a SAT Instructor at Universidad Iberoamericana UNIBE's test center (KAPLAN), training students to approve standardized tests for international’s college applications. I am finishing my Early Childhood Education degree at Universidad Iberoamericana UNIBE, missing my last 6 courses, I am also taking my TEFL certification at the moment. I am looking forward to getting my IB certificate, in Early Years at Western University and my master’s in education or in psychopedagogy. I also have experience as a tutor and I am actually tutoring students from different schools. I do have knowledge using different technological platforms like Google G. Suite/Google for Education, Microsoft for Education, Blackboard, Rediker, Canva, Quizizz, Wordwall, Flipgrid, Epic, Nearpot, Khan Academy, etc. In addition, I am constantly researching new teaching strategies that will benefit the students. I am good at problem-solving, I have great communication skills, and I am a team player capable of handling conflicts. My interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and taking initiative in doing different tasks and completing them on time are what make me an ideal candidate.(Highlighting that I have worked as a sales/customer service rep. acquiring and sharpening my customer service skills).
