These days I am Programme Director for Engineering & Marine Engineering the Department of Science and Technology, University of Faroe In the past I have.been a Teaching Lecturer in Computer Science at the Department of Science and Technology, University of Faroe Islands. been a Teaching Lecturer in Mathematics at Department of Education, University of Faroe Islands. been a high school teacher at Tårnby Gymnasium & HF. been an External Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen in teaching FUF - Physics Teaching experiments. had a Post Doc, working with high temperature electrolysis (SOEC), at Risoe DTU. obtained a Ph.D. in experimental physics (B.Sc. in mathematics). I have worked mainly with magnetism, superconductivity and critical phenomena during my B.Sc, Cand. Scient.(M.Sc) and Ph.D. During the years I have studied- Magnetism in nanoparticle iron-oxides (g-Fe2O3, Fe3O4, FeO)- Superconductivity and magnetism in YBCO nanoparticles- Magnetic critical phenomena in CoO nanoparticles. worked with quite a number of experimental techniques. I have listed these, sorted by level of expertise: Neutron Scattering, Mössbauer Spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction, Muon Spin Rotation, AC Susceptibility, Transmission Electron Microscopy, Sputtering, Atomic Force Microscopy, Impedance Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy. worked as a programmer. Before going into physics I worked as a commercial programmer, a talent which have used thoroughly throughout my physics career. Programming experience: Expert user: Java, MatLab, Borland Delphi, MS SQL, MS Windows. Fitting, Modeling. Advanced/Medium user: PLC programming, Tcl, McStas, PHP, HTML, Turbo Pascal, Linux. Instrumental software, Simulations. Scientific programming: Author of the Mössbauer spectrum fitting program Fit;o)( ). Specialties: Making technical stuff work, both hardware and software.
