About
On the record
I live in Boulder Colorado, the epicenter for LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) movement. I am semi-retired but still involved in numerous activities, and have launched a new natural food consulting business in 2010. I teach Aikido here in Colorado and travel around the world. In 2016 I was elected as Chairman of the International Aikido Federation. Previously from 2008, I was elected as General Secretary for the International Aikido Federation and re-elected for another term in 2012. in 2021, I stepped down to Vice Chairman of the International Aikido Federation to support a new team. As a result, I interface with Aikikai World HQs, IAF member federations, and all the international sports Federations such as SportAccord, AIMS, and IWGA or the sister martial arts federations around the globe. Currently 7th Dan. In the past, I had been involved in mega deal negotiations while I was working for GM. I did participate in the Toyota Nummi JV, Suzuki CAMI JV, and distributors negotiations with Yanase for distributing Opels in Japan. I worked in the Isuzu Bedford JV in the UK and was involved in implementing the JV plans. I have been blessed with large-scale opportunities to negotiate and implement those activities. Now I am also happy with a slower pace and a healthy lifestyle. I am an amateur photographer with amateur equipment, enjoying landscapes, animals, and nature in general.
