Alarbiya and MBC were my first gateway into the media world which provided me with many opportunities to grow and gain experience over a five year period. I was producer for both of them and reporter for Al-ikhbariyah T.V, as a producer I was able to cover high profile stories such as ‘The Siege and Death of Late President Yasser Arafat’, Palestinian Elections, and Daily hard news and features. Besides these key responsibilities I also covered in-depth documentaries one of which was detailing Palestinian Prisoners in Israel and the impact on their lives post incarceration and another that covered the death of Yasser Arafat. After five years I pursued my academic dream of obtaining my Masters Degree in ‘International Relations’ at Birzeit University, My thesis was covering the ‘Dependencies Theory and its relevance to relations between the USA and the Middle East: The Case of Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq’. Following my graduation I started working as a correspondent for Al-Youm program for Alhurra T.V where my responsibilities included a minimum of 12 features per month, covering various topics from sport, art, culture, agriculture.etc. In addition to these key responsibilities, my position gave me many opportunities to cover/produce my own key interviews/stories with prime time slot viewing. A couple of these stories that are my personal favorites comprised of interviewing famous singers such as Ilham Ilmadfa’i and famous actors such as Hind Sabri. Moreover, I represented BBC World News as a freelancer for hard news and produced'Rawabi' documentary film and before that I produced a documentary with the director Peter lofgren which is about solidarity, Moreover, I covered with Aljazeera International different events such as Israeli war against Gaza in 2014 and the Palestinian-Israeli clashes in 2015. After finishing my second degree at Newcastle University, I'm working at Media Development Center, and teaching documentary at Birzeit University. The chapter in my life is started after joining Queens University Belfast to obtain a PhD.
