Markel R••• is a photographer and filmmaker who has been working in photojournalism and documentary photography for over 18 years. He is represented by Panos Pictures, a leading international photo agency, and has worked for some of the world's most prestigious publications and organizations, such as the Wall Street Journal, Le Monde, Greenpeace, and the British Council. Based in Bilbao, Spain, and Biarritz, France, Markel R••• covers social, environmental, and travel stories across Europe, Asia, and Africa. He is also a fully AESA-approved drone operator, and has used his aerial skills to capture stunning images and videos of landscapes, architecture, and wildlife. He is passionate about telling stories that matter, and sharing his vision and expertise with others through teaching and mentoring. He is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Basque.
