The art of modern engineering is to solve problems with innovative ideas and to create problems when we have none left to solve." Hello! I am Hein, a Mechanical Engineering student with Robotics Specialisation. Since young, I have enjoyed dismantling and rebuilding my toys. This sparked me to learn Computer-Aided Design with Solidworks and Fusion360 when I was 12. Soon I was designing automotive vehicle parts for a robotics startup that creates Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). Here, I learned new skills such as ROS and rapid prototyping. My innovative problem-solving and willingness to learn allowed me to lead and manage CAD projects, designing various brackets for the robotics components. The innovative and fast-paced environment of the startup further ignited my passion for entrepreneurship. I joined the NUS Entrepreneurship Society and grew as a leader, diving deep into the Startup Ecosystem to learn about Startup Evaluations, Business Development, and Venture Capital. Expanding on my experience, I started my own robotics projects such as creating a mini-Roomba to automate my room cleaning. I delved into Python programming by creating a space invader game using the Pygame library. Furthermore, I programmed Discord bots to automate repetitive tasks such as clearing/deleting messages and creating polls. I gain great satisfaction when I can automate manual processes and make my life more efficient. Feel free to have a chat with me!
