Frederick L••• co-founded Kallipolis.co.uk together with Avedis Hadjian in 2021. He is on the advisory board of the Together UK Foundation. He read Greats at New College, Oxford BA, MA) and obtained a doctorate in Classics from Columbia University in New York MA, MPhil, PhD) with a thesis on Byzantine Literature (published in 2013). Since 2008 he has been a postdoctoral researcher in Bologna and, since 2017, historian at the Scuola Grande di San Marco in Venice.
