About
On the record
I am a neuroscientist with a broad background in neurobiology and molecular biology, with specific expertise in spinal cord injury models, behavioural assessments, and neuroprotective and regenerative strategies for neural repair. My research interests are focused on developing translationally relevant therapeutic strategies for spinal cord injury and other neurological conditions, and to better understand the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying injury and repair to the central nervous system. I lead multiple research projects and teams, collaborate across disciplines within academia and industry, mentor and supervise students, design and implement projects, acquire research funding, write manuscripts, grants and reports. My goals are to advance the field of neural repair and improve the quality of life for patients with spinal cord injury and neurological disorders.
