Growing up, I had a lot of professions I wanted to choose from. Curiously, Accounting and Finance was not part of my list. However, thanks to my mom's coaching and orientation, I decided to go with being a Finance professional and I do not regret my decision. I have over 8 years of Audit and Accounting work experience. All of which were acquired in accounting firms. I worked for two (2) years as an Accountant/Auditor in FICADEX Afrique Centrale (Douala) and six (6) years as an External Auditor in KPMG Afrique Centrale (Douala). Being a Finance professional has really helped me to acquire a great number of skills which include, but not limited to the following: Interpersonal skills especially as I must deal with our clients daily; The ability to properly communicate as I am fluent in both English and French Languages; Financial Reporting. I also prepare financial statements to be inserted in external audit reports. Analytical ability. This entails the processing of information from the clients, corroborating it with justification documents and making conclusions. All these require a lot of analytical work as they are my daily routine. Knowledge of IT Software. My work as an External Auditor and an Accountant, I have had to use the accounting software SAAGE SARI and I am also vest with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint most especially. Problem solving. Auditing has enabled me identify risk areas and propose solutions to our clients which they appreciated. Coaching. As a senior Audit Associate, I have as a responsibility to help junior staff and interns understand the job they are doing through coaching, feedback and staff evaluations. I am looking forward to meeting and working with new people from all works of life which I will learn from and they too in return will learn from me. That said, I am a Finance professional and I am good at what I do.
