Kapszli

KAPSZLI is a volunteer initiative of psychology students attending the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church, Budapest, Hungary. It is a small but cohesive team determined to bring the latest scientific discoveries of psychology closer to everyone as presented by widely recognized experts of the field. The main profile of the organization is creating events where the this knowledge can be shared in an easily interpretable manner. KAPSZLI has three different events: a main event called "KAPSZLI Szakmai Napok", annually hold in March for three days, where the attendants can participate in workshops and lectures of a certain, broad topic which attempts to reflect on current mental issues of the Hungarian society. There is a two-day event as well called "KAPSZLI Lélekképző" that helps better understanding the structure of the professional psychological training system aiming to educate later psychologist on the opportunities and costs provided by different training associations and universities. Also, there is a monthly-held, one-hour long, night-time presentation, the "KAPSZLI LelkiMorzsa" series, featuring a popular person, which attracts thousands of people yearly. Members of KAPSZLI believe that it is vitally important to spread quality, first-hand information about the science of the human mind in order to prevent and treat misconceptions as well as shape and maintain positive thoughts and opinions on the tremendously valuable efforts of scientists, practitioners and students of psychology.
