Mackay Medical College

The Mackay Medical College (MMC) is a medical college located in New Taipei city, Taiwan. Through the approval of the Ministry of Education, it became Taiwan's 12th medical school on March 30, 2009. The mission of Mackay Medical College is inspired by the selfless dedication of Dr. George Leslie Mackay. In “My Final Resting Place,” a poem penned just before his death, he wrote, “My heartstrings to Taiwan can never be cut. I devote my life to this island.” We aim to inculcate in students this same spirit of devotion. We strive for quality education and encourage research excellence so that our graduates are well-prepared to become outstanding medical professionals who love others as well as themselves. In addition, we educate our students to have compassion for patients who live in rural communities where medical resources and health care are scarce.
