Te Hiringa Mahara - Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission is an independent Crown entity, set up under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission Act 2020. The Commission opened its doors on 9 February 2021. Establishing the Commission was one of the recommendations of He Ara Oranga, the Government inquiry into mental health and addiction. Our objective is to contribute to better and equitable mental health and wellbeing outcomes for people in New Zealand. We will perform an enduring role in transforming Aotearoa New Zealand's approach to mental health and wellbeing. We encourage you to share your knowledge, experience and opinions here.
