Milestone Institute

Our mission is to act as catalyst of societal progress through a twofold approach; a center for exemplary research, social action and entrepreneurial initiatives and an internationally recognised programme of education designed to nurture a community of future leaders within Hungary. We have the vision of Hungary transformed into a country known for contributing pioneering solutions to the principal challenges of the 21st century. On the 7th Anniversary of its founding, the Milestone Institute has a vibrant and diverse community of over 300 high-school students spread across our four-year academic programme; over 500 alumni at many of the world’s top 100 universities; and a teaching community of nearly 100 academics. Milestone students come from over 90 different high schools and from all parts of Hungary, and some even from as far as Austria, Slovakia or Serbia. We offer over 130 academic modules ranging from classics to neuroscience, spread across an academic year with three teaching terms. Our students have won numerous national and international Olympiads and awards and regularly attend international conferences. In addition, the Milestone Institute hosts over a dozen student-lead societies and a number of alumni-led initiatives.
