About - Emantes International Lgbtqia+ Solidarity was founded in July 2018 by experienced volunteers on the LGBTQIA+ refugee field and it is based in Athens, Greece. Emantes was created as the response of the expressed needs and wishes that emerged from participatory bottom up sessions of the “Lgbtqia+ Refugees Welcome” collective founded in 2016 by a group of LGBTQIA+ refugees and Greek activists. Mission - To provide material, legal and psychosocial support to LGBTQIA+ refugees, migrants and asylum seekers as well as to inform and raise awareness of the civil society on issues faced by LGBTQIA+ refugee/migrant community.
