Epdrwanda

Access to electricity is a key development priority in Rwanda. The Government’s “7-5-2” target aims for 100% national access in 7 years—within 5 years for productive use centers and 2 years for Kigali. EPD is a key partner in supporting these goals. Our Vision: All homes in Rwanda have access to clean energy. Our Mission: Universal energy access in an environment where the private sector can innovate, grow, and thrive. Our Objectives: • Collaborate with government on policy and strategies • Advocate for a supportive environment for private companies • Build strong public-private partnerships EPD is a registered association representing 200+ private energy companies in Rwanda. As one of the five associations under the Chamber of Industry (PSF), we focus on advocacy, capacity building, financing, events, and investment facilitation. We invite investors and stakeholders to partner with our members to accelerate Rwanda’s energy transition. We also work with regional partners like the SG Global Renewables Centre to promote innovation and knowledge exchange.
