International Law Association Gcc Branch

The ILA, founded in 1873, is an organization dedicated to the promotion and development of international law. It brings together legal scholars, practitioners, and public officials from around the globe to engage in meaningful dialogue on critical international legal issues. The ILA has national and regional branches in numerous countries, facilitating engagement in discussions and activities pertinent to their specific legal environments. Each branch operates independently while contributing to the overarching objectives of the ILA. Membership is open to individuals—including legal scholars, practitioners, judges, and government officials—who are interested in the advancement of international law. The ILA-GCC Branch, located in Doha, Qatar, aims to unite individuals and experts across the GCC region with a shared interest in international law, fostering a diverse and inclusive platform in alignment with the ILA’s guidelines. The ILA-GCC includes twelve founding members from all GCC countries from various backgrounds, contributing to a strong foundation for this branch, enhancing the ILA’s regional impact and outreach.
