The UMSC is an international center of expertise where advanced MS research is performed in order to offer the best care for persons with MS, now and in the future. This partnership consists of 2 partners: the biomedical research institute and rehabilitation center of Hasselt University AND the rehabilitation & MS center of Noorderhart in Pelt. The UMSC develops strategic research and educational programs, communicates about new insights and works together with local and international partners. Last but not least, participation of persons with MS is a central aim of the UMSC. To this end, we founded the patient platform consisting of 10 persons with MS who support the UMSC on various levels (research input, events.)
