The mission of the Naval Oceanography Antisubmarine Warfare Center, Yokosuka is to develop and deploy METOC teams in support of FDNF and Coalition forces operating in the SEVENTH Fleet AO; provide asymmetric warfighting advantage for Navy, Joint and Coalition ASW forces operating in the THIRD, FIFTH and SEVENTH Fleet AOs; provide accurate and timely weather forecasts and warnings for COMNAVFORJAPAN and ashore forces to facilitate asset protection responsibilities and risk management decisions; enhance international relationships critical to broadening undersea warfighting capabilities in the INDOPACOM AOR.
