Mountmed Institute

We are a non-profit research, education, and development organization founded by an interdisciplinary and international network of scientists focusing on mountain studies. We are based at Troodos mountain, Cyprus. Our mission is to advance scholarship, advise leaders and policymakers, and develop practical, research-based projects with communities on the ground to address the Mediterranean mountain regions' contemporary social, environmental, and economic challenges. Our vision is the sustainable development of Mediterranean mountain regions and the endogenous development of mountain societies.
