Blanche woke up to a rainy Saturday morning and felt like a bus ran over her. The smell of coffee nauseated her and the bacon was not helping her either. She got up and grabbed her robe that matched her red rose gown. She put on her red slippers and walked to the bathroom. She used it and just when she was about to brush her teeth, she threw up in the toilet. After she flushed the contents away, Blanche stood up and looked at herself in the mirror. She began talking to herself,"What is going on? This doesn't happen to a devastatingly beautiful woman." She brushed her teeth, rinsed her mouth out, and walked to the kitchen. Dorothy and Rose were drinking their coffee and eating some bacon. When Blanche walked in the room, Dorothy could not help but stare at her. Blanche's hair was all matted to one side and she looked pale. Blanche looked at Dorothy and questioned her 'dear God' expression,"What?" Dorothy finally found her voice and she decided to ask the questions,"Blanche, you look like Phyllis Diller gone psycho. Are you alright?" Blanche, being the Southern Diva, replied,"No! I feel like a bus ran over me twice and that food just makes me want to vomit again. These things don't happen to attractive women like me. These things happen to women like you and Rose." Rose decided to add her two bits to the conversation,"The last time I felt like that, I just found out I was pregnant with Chirsten."

The Court of Appeal for Ontario is the highest level of court in Ontario and hears appeals from the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice. The Chief Justice of Ontario, the Associate Chief Justice of Ontario, and approximately 30 other judges sit on the Court of Appeal. All appeals at the Court of Appeal are heard by panels of judges. Almost all appeals are heard by panels of three judges, but some appeals are heard by panels of five judges. Fewer than two per cent of the court’s decisions are heard by the Supreme Court of Canada, so the Court of Appeal is effectively the last avenue of appeal for most litigants. The Federal Court of Appeal is a bijural itinerant court that hears cases in English and in French in eighteen (18) cities, from Vancouver to St. John’s including locations in the North. The countrywide mission of the Court is intended to ensure that federal legislation is applied in a uniform and constant manner across the country, while taking into consideration the private law in the province or territory where the litigation arises. The Federal Court of Appeal has jurisdiction to hear appeals from judgments of the Federal Court and the Tax Court of Canada. In addition, the Court has jurisdiction to hear judicial review applications with respect to seventeen (17) federal boards and tribunals listed under section 28 of the Federal Courts Act. It also hears appeals pursuant to a variety of other federal legislation- La Cour d’appel fédérale est une cour itinérante bijuridique qui entend des litiges en anglais et en français dans dix-huit (18) centres urbains de Vancouver à St. John’s, y compris les agglomérations du Grand Nord.
