Lotnisko Chopina jest największym portem lotniczym w Polsce i jednym z największych w Europie Centralnej. Istnieje od 1934 r. Obsługuje ruch rozkładowy, czarterowy, General Aviation oraz cargo. At the airport operates 33 regular carriers, who in the winter season 2016 fly to 100 destinations. The airport is managed by the State Enterprise "Polish Airports"(PPL), which is responsible for construction and operation of the airports, as well as provision of services to passengers and airlines. Gyrocopter looks like a small helicopter but the main difference is there is no engine turning the main rotor. The rotor simply self-propel (which we call "autorotate") due to the way that the air flows through them. It also does not have a tail rotor. As the engine is not connected to the rotors, this means that a Gyrocopter is not seriously affected if the engine should stop in flight. This, together with a very short landing roll (we can land in a very small open space, about the size of a putting green), means that a Gyrocopter is one of the safest methods of flying. Today, Gyrocopters are one or two- three seat aeroplanes whose maximum take-off weight does not exceed 560 kg. Modern Gyrocopters offer superb performance, comfort and above all have a safety record second to none in aviation. Flying Gyrocopters is challenging, exhilarating and brilliant fun.

Olsztyn-Mazury Airport
The airport was first developed by the Germans back in 1933. The airport site was superimposed on a 100 hectare swath of land. Thanks to its location among forests it was well hidden from any kind of unwanted attention. Thus, its true purpose was successfully kept a secret. In the 50` s and 60` s it was redeveloped and assigned a back up landing site used by the 1st Airborne Regiment based in Minsk Mazowiecki. This is when the landing strip was significantlly widened, and a brick – layed petrol laboratory was erected. In the latter part of the 70` s the facility added an air traffic control tower and an outbuilding. In the 90` s the airport` s ownership title was transfered to State Military Agency. On the January the 15th 1996 the Governor of the Province brought to life a Porty Lotnicze Mazury – Szczytno company, an entity which lasted until 2004. Between 2007-2013 a 204 mln worth of investment capital was allocated to airport` s further development. For the time being Airport covers 322 hectares of land. It is the only one in the Province.
