Asifa Colombia International Animated Film Association Chapter
ASIFA -Association Internationale du Film D'Animation. Asociación fundada en 1957 en la ciudad de Annecy, Francia y adoptada en 1960 por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura -UNESCO- como un miembro dedicado a la promoción y diseminación de la animación, en calidad de canal artístico y de comunicación. Hoy ASIFA es una organización mundial dedicada al arte de la animación, que a lo largo de cincuenta años ha crecido exponencialmente, alcanzando la inclusión de más de miembros en 55 países. Por medio de los capítulos nacionales mantienen el más inmediato y directo contacto con los miembros de ASIFA Internacional. ASIFA provee el espacio para que los capítulos nacionales generen sinergias y alianzas, sirviendo como un canal directo para la participación en eventos internacionales relacionados con el mundo de la animación; tales como festivales, encuentros y seminarios académicos. La Asociación Internacional de Films Animados –ASIFA– Capitulo Colombia es una entidad sin ánimo de lucro que tiene entre sus objetivos desarrollar actividades de fomento, desarrollo y promoción de la función social, académica y cultural en relación con el medio de la animación, promoviendo el intercambio de ideas y de recursos a nivel nacional e internacional entre los animadores, las industrias culturales y creativas, y la comunidad. ANTECEDENTES: El capítulo de ASIFA Colombia nace oficialmente el 14 de agosto de 2006, a partir del interés de sus 10 miembros fundadores por el desarrollo del arte de la animación en Colombia. Siendo que en su mayoría los animadores del país trabajaban de forma independiente y sin conciencia de colectivo, se propugnó por la creación de un espacio de encuentro entre los animadores con el propósito de compartir experiencias y conocimientos adquiridos, muchos de ellos empíricamente.
