3LHD is an architectural practice focused on integrating various disciplines – architecture, urban planning, design and art. The Studio was founded in Zagreb in 1994 by four partners: Saša Begović, Marko Dabrović, Tatjana Grozdanić Begović and Silvije Novak. In 2016 they appointed a new partner, Paula Kukuljica. 3LHD architects constantly explore new possibilities of interaction between architecture, society and individuals as well as their mutual integration. Through contemporary architectural approach, the team of architects deals with all the projects in cooperation with many experts from various disciplines. Projects, such as Memorial Bridge in Rijeka, Croatian Pavilion at EXPO 2005 in Japan and EXPO 2008 in Spain, Riva Waterfront in Split, Sports Hall Bale in Istria, Zamet Centre in Rijeka, Dance Centre in Zagreb, Hotel Lone in Rovinj, Freshwater Aquarium in Karlovac, LN Garden Hotel in China, Grand Park Hotel Rovinj and Campus Infobip are some of the important projects that have established 3LHD not only in the professional circles but also in the wider public circles. Some 30 years ago, my father once came home from work and my mother asked him: „Where is Lucas?" – he had forgotten me in my carrycot on the building site… Throughout our childhood, my sister and I spent hours playing among plants, soil, machines, papers, and drafts. This has not changed much since we moved to Croatia. The company Werft Garten & Landschaftsbau GmbH was originally founded in 1984 in Stuttgart by my father, landscape architect Erich Werft. However, our family business continued to operate under the name Horting when we returned to Croatia in 1995. While the period of living and working in Germany represented a time of freedom and prosperity for my family, moving back to Croatia brought significant challenges and hardships. My father's intention during this time has been progressive education and popularization of landscape architecture on the local market. After his death in 2006, I inherited his mission and continued to nurture it in my authentic way. To integrate early values with the present ones, in the past couple of years the aspiration towards changing our company's identity and reviving family name has grown. Therefore, today we are not starting anew. We are going back to our roots and continue where we have left off.

B9 Architects is a company founded in 2017 in Zagreb. Certified architect Ida Švaljek founded it after working in several architectural offices. The company headquarters are in Zagreb, but we work all over Croatia. Our projects include buildings of varying scale and purpose like small holiday homes, residential buildings, or production halls. Many of our projects refer to the interior design of apartments, family houses, hotels, restaurants, bars which we develop, depending on the needs of investors, in conceptual or detailed design. Through the design process, we explore all the spatial possibilities to obtain the best solution that will satisfy us as architects and the needs of investors as end-users. We make several options for each project based on the wishes of the investors and based on our vision of the space. After defining the final solution, we check it through 3D visualization followed by a detailed elaboration of the project. It is essential for us that the space we design is functional and minimalistic, free of unnecessary details and elements. Our company cooperates with surveyor engineers, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and other designers who are essential in the design process.
