Tsevet Lohamim is an organization that was started in 2010, with the goal of nurturing new Israeli immigrants as well as Israeli youth at risk into becoming the future leaders of Israel. The organization is a leadership academy that focuses mainly on helping new immigrants to not only adjust to their new surroundings but also to excel and succeed in achieving their goals in Israel. Israel, being a country with countless opportunities available, however, strong competition, can often be overwhelming for those coming from abroad or from less-fortunate backgrounds. Therefore, through the guidance of Tsevet Lohamim and our structured program, we hope to smoothen the process and give our candidates the tools they need in order to succeed. The program is built around personal mentorship and leadership training, as well as team-building exercises and hands-on training in fields such as first aid, fitness, nutrition, and public speaking. We aim to provide our candidates with invaluable tools they can use later on in their careers in Israel. We also help our candidates find job positions in high-demand industries and work with youth at risk to ensure they get the future they deserve. Over the years, Tsevet Lohamim has become a family to over alumni, many of whom volunteer for the organization today. Tsevet Lohamim relies entirely on donations and is operated by past candidates who volunteer on their own time, in order to make sure our candidates can achieve their full potential and acquire their goals. With any donations we receive, we first hope to cover our overhead costs, in order to continue functioning as an organization. Most of our funds go towards events such as; leadership seminars, Friday night family meals, transport costs, first aid courses, training for our volunteers, etc. With increased funding, we plan to expand our outreach by setting up a permanent leadership center with full time staff in key positions
