Academy Of Fine Arts And Design In Bratislava
The AFAD is one of the biggest and oldest Slovak institutions devoted to the university education in various artistic programmes. Throughout its long history, the AFAD reflected all the historical changes or political ideologies, but it has always remained committed to its progressive nature. Nowadays, a great deal of its performance is focused on artistic and scientific-research activities, as well as on emerging international cooperation within the European education, art and research area. The Academy has already established itself as an institution with a strong position among art schools in the Central European region, and at the same time, it is continually strengthening its position within the European Union. The AFAD offers the possibility to pursue studies at all three levels in programmes such as Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, and Restoration, as well as the Theory and History of Art and Architecture on master or doctoral level. It is not divided into faculties, but into twelve Departments and the Division of Drawing. Thanks to the opportunity to move among different departments and studios, the students acquire numerous and diversified experience from various fields which they can subsequently apply to their projects. This organization structure enables the Academy to be a flexible. as well as open educational platform and to create an interdisciplinary environment where the future artists are not limited by a lack of professional skills. The AFAD aims to strengthen creative and critical thinking, to support independent artistic and scientific research and artistic creation, as well as to encourage creative spirit. It strives to attract quality artists, theoreticians and socially and culturally active professionals who think differently, so the school is shaped by a plurality of opinions driven by intellectual vigour.

Fest Art Trenčín je festival umenia a kultúry, ktorého prvý ročník sa odohral v podchode na Hasičskej ulici 19.mája 2018. Skupina umelcov sa rozhodla tento podchod zveľadiť za doprovodu 10 djov počas celého dňa. Výsledkom je dielo 17 umelcov, ktoré je stále vo svojej pôvodnej podobe. Tento rok sa podujatie uskutoční 1.6.2019 iba pár metrov od pôvodného miesta.

Investícia do výtvarného umenia už v dnešnej dobe nie je výlučne zberateľskou záležitosťou. Okrem umelecko-historickej, prípadne estetickej hodnoty sa začína stále viac presadzovať aj po stránke finančnej a investorskej. Z hľadiska investičného v konkurencii viacerých rôznych komodít patrí investícia do výtvarného umenia medzi jednoznačne najbezpečnejšie. Nepodlieha totiž žiadnym vonkajším vplyvom či už geopolitickým, medzinárodným alebo spoločensko-kultúrnym. Zhodnotenie investície je teda bez reakcií na akýkoľvek výkyv trhu, stabilné aj keď treba počítať s určitým časovým horizontom. Samozrejme, toto všetko je možné pri dodržaní určitých pravidiel.

Slovak Literary Centre
The Slovak Literary Centre (SLC) is a public organization focused on promoting Slovak literature abroad by showcasing its authors and translators. SLC is also the provider of the grant program for publishers SLOLIA (Slovak Literature Abroad) through which foreign publishers apply for financial support for the publication of Slovak books in translation. SLC is financed by the Slovak Ministry of Culture. The SLOLIA program was founded in 1996 and since then it has been able to support the translation of over 900 Slovak books in 33 languages. The main goal of SLC's work is to support and promote literature written in the Slovak language, whether in Slovakia or abroad. Alongside its various activities, the Slovak Literary Centre also operates as a publisher. Books on literary science, history of literature and essay writing are one of the most important areas. SLC also publishes one of the oldest magazines for children — Slniečko (Little Sun), which has been on the market for almost a century now, and the journal Knižná revue (Book Revue) which focuses on book reviews, interviews with authors and news in the book world in general. SLC produces a podcast titled Knižná revue, too, bringing into forefront interesting topics from Slovak contemporary literature. A selection of best new Slovak books is featured in the annual catalogue Books from Slovakia. It features brief translations of excerpts from selected titles, presenting a variety of themes and styles and most of all high-quality Slovak writing. The catalogues are very useful at book fairs where they allow visitors and publishers to get a better perspective about contemporary Central European literature.

I consider my work to be more than just a business or an article of commerce. I see my work as my contribution to the present and legacy for the future world of numismatics. For this reason I have studied the art of sculpture for many years in order to master all the artistic crafts and subsequently transform them into exceptional designs. The passion for low relief modelling runs in our family. My grandfather was a coin engraver in Kremnica mint and my father was a medallist. Thanks to that I have gained deep affection for the art of coin and medal and valuable experience.
