Our Mission: To engage art & cultural practitioners through an exchange program that will increase the value and appreciation of indigenous art & culture with nature. Our purpose is to build spaces for artists, empower artists’ especially young artists with technical skills in art management, marketing, and research, promote African and African contemporary art and culture, and engage with artists and general public include children about the importance of our African art and culture. MAZI art and culture have experiences in curatorial and art management, such as visual art, performing, to document and archive history. Over time, we have been bridging the gaps in our history by ensuring that we research and write the practices of the people who inhabit the Tanzania forests, like the Eastern Arc Mountains include providing space for artists to explore their artistic skills and talents.

Tinga Tinga Studio was started by private initiative as a tool to promote and sell Tingatinga paintings from Tinga Tinga Arts Cooperative Society (TACS). However the website is not subsidiary of TACS nor any other artist group in Tanzania, something which garantees neutral choice of quality art. Despite nonalingnment to any art institution the marketing is done in cooperation with TACS. We are an licensing agent of TACS, John Kilaka, Hendrick Lilanga and Mzuguno Studio. I handle licensing agreements on behalf of these artists

MISSION STATEMENT Empowering artists, nurturing creativity, and enriching communities through innovative art projects, mentorship, and community engagement initiatives. OUR FOCUS AREAS (i) Product Development: We aim to produce a variety of art products, both physical (such as conversational card games) and digital (like films, and podcasts), collaborating with artists to generate income, facilitate learning, and entertain.(ii) Artist Development: Through mentorship, training, networking, and dedicated artist management services, we empower artists to refine their skills, connect with audiences, and explore new markets. Our plans include establishing an artist residency to support experimentation and artistic Community Engagement and Development: We focus on the broader community impact by using art in social causes, especially related to the health and well-being of young people.
