HORUS UPV nace en 2018 como un equipo de estudiantes de la Universitat Politécnica de València interesados en diseñar, fabricar y operar Aeronaves No Tripuladas (UAS). En colaboración con el Instituto de Automática e Informática Industrial (ai2), se procedió al desarrollo de una primera aeronave. Esta se concibió como una plataforma de investigación para la utilización de pilas de hidrógeno en UAVs con el objetivo de incrementar su rango de vuelo. A raíz de este primer impulso, otros organismos de la Universidad se fueron adhiriendo al apoyo al proyecto, incluyéndose el equipo entre los grupos de Generación Espontánea (GE). El equipo está formado por 50 miembros, divididos en 8 subgrupos: Aerodinámica, Estructuras, CAD, Fabricación, Sistemas y Control de Vuelo, Visión e Inteligencia Artificial, Organización e Imagen, contando con las figuras de Dirección Técnica y Financiera, además de contar con una cantera propia de estudiantes de primer curso, para su posterior entrada al equipo. El equipo de Horus UPV consta de tres líneas de trabajo, la linea de UAVs de competición, entre los que se incluyen los modelos de la serie H110/H120/H130, la línea de Investigación de hidrógeno (H200) y la linea de prototipos de pruebas de Inteligencia artificial y autopilotos (H030). Tras presentarse el equipo al UAS Challenge 2022 organizado por el Instituto de Ingenieros Mecánicos del Reino Unido (IMechE), este es premiado en las categorías de aeronavegabilidad y mejor equipo debutante, obteniendo mención especial en proposición de negocio y seguridad, obteniendo así el 3er puesto en la competición de carácter internacional, con 32 equipos participantes. Se consagra como el único equipo español vencedor desde la creación del concurso, en 2014.

Para ello ha sido necesario el desarrollo de numerosos conocimientos en diversos campos, tales como diseño y simulaciones en CAD, análisis CFD, aviónica y técnicas de fabricación. Una de las mayores motivaciones es difundir este conocimiento con futuras generaciones que tengan inquietudes similares para que el proyecto se mantenga en el tiempo y compita en otros concursos de manera que los estudiantes estén motivados y afiancen los conocimientos teóricos vistos en clase.

Upc Space Program
UPC Space Program is a student-led project focused on developing technologies related to aeronautics and space. It is the largest and most inclusive initiative of its kind at UPC, with over 80 members from various university degrees within UPC as well as other universities, bringing a wide diversity of knowledge and experience to the team. The association is organized into four main branches: robotics, rocketry, drones, and CubeSats, with the goal of driving innovation in strategic technological sectors and contributing to the country's scientific and industrial progress. It is highlighted that the GRASS mission, focused on developing a rover for Martian exploration, has managed to qualify for the finals of the European Rover Challenge (ERC) for four consecutive years since 2021. Virtual-Fly designs, produces and distributes its own full motion flight simulators, flight panels and controls. When you fly a full motion flight simulator for the first time you discover a whole new world of emotions and challenges. Full motion flight simulators are the evolution of decades of research and development together with the present available technologies on materials and electronics. From the first simulator made in 1909 until todays state-of-the-art devices the flight simulation has coursed a constant race towards realism and performance. Now, VirtualFly is proud to present its achievements since its beginnings back in 2004: the OVO-04 full motion flight simulator, SOLO and DUO flight panel series, the long-pitch-travelling YOKO yoke and the ONTOP multipurpose 2 D.O.F. motion platform.

Inspecciones industriales: Mediante la adquisicion de imagenes termografícas ofrecemos inspecciones industriales con el fin de detectar anomalías antes de que se produzca un problema real, reduciendo así considerablemente el coste y sin la necesidad de exponer trabajadores a entornos peligrosos. Topografia: Producimos mapas y planos topograficos del terreno por medio de la fotografía aérea utilizando la técnicas fotogrametría y sistemas de informacion geografica (SIG). De este modo se reducen los tiempos y costes, mientras se incrementa la precisión de forma significativa. El Foro Aeronáutico es una iniciativa, sin ánimo de lucro, promovida por industriales, empresas, centros universitarios y de postgrado que responde a los siguientes objetivos: 1. Crear un marco de encuentro, cooperación y diálogo entre los distintos profesionales y agentes del ámbito de la aeronáutica, la aviación y la actividad aeroespacial. Difundir y potenciar la función estratégica del sector aeronáutico español. Favorecer el interés de la juventud por la aviación, la aeronáutica y las tecnologías aeroespaciales. Promover el conocimiento de la historia de la aviación española y la cultura aeronáutica. Facilitar el contacto de las empresas con la Universidad, en materia de investigación, formación y carrera profesional, en el ámbito de la aviación, la aeronáutica y el espacio. Coordinar con entidades y organismos europeos la defensa de los objetivos e intereses del sector del transporte aéreo español y de la industria aeroespacial en Europa.
