The Community First Cooperative Credit Union, formerly the Antigua and Barbuda Teachers' Cooperative Credit Union was founded on 07th April 1959 by a group of teachers led by the late Mr. Charles Sampson, a stalwart teacher and education administrator. The organization was registered as a cooperative society in 1982 with approximately two hundred members. It held its first official Annual General Meeting on Wednesday January 18th 1982. The primary objective of the organization then, as it is now, is the promotion of thrift and the creation of a source of credit to its members for provident and productive purposes. Our Mission is "To provide reputable and innovative financial and personal development solutions through excellent services that exceed stakeholder expectations, while caring for our members’ needs in an efficient, friendly and professional manner."
