Sonorous vineyards sites as Steinmassl, Kittmannsberg, Spiegel or Liss are the foundation of all wines. For lovers of fruity and fresh wines, the“VelKam” line is the perfect choice. The next stage in the pyramid systems are typical Veltliners and Rieslings from Kamp valley, labelled as village wines. Up to the very powerful “Gigant” line originating from single-vineyards, made for lovers of extraordinary and powerful wines. None of these wines would have their incomparable taste without the exceptional soils in and around Langenlois. Of course we are working sustainable in all our processes – since 2016 this is also certified by the Austrian Winegrowers’ Association with the Seal of Quality “Sustainable Austria”.

Schloss Halbturn, the most important Baroque building in the Burgenland, once served as a hunting and summer residence for the Emperor. The birth of the Schloss Halbturn vineyard was 1214 in Jois (Jungenberg). 2001 Weingut Schloss Halbturn was ambitiously restructured. Altogether a large part of the comprehensive 160 acres of the vineyard was cleared and replanted. Weingut Schloss Halbturn conjures up notions of "Château | History | Tradition | Quality | Emotion" and thus sets new national and international standards. The implementation of our philosophy "quality does not allow for any compromise" covers all activities from vineyard cultivation to vinification, adequate maturation as well as cooperation with selected partners. The most important thing Schloss Halbturn grants its wines, is the time to develop themselves in an optimum way. A longer barrel and bottle aging as well as the launch of a large part of the red wines only five years after the harvest, already promise a special drinking experience on acquisition. The offer includes an exceptional range of rarities. Sustainable several vintages of IMPÉRIAL and SCHLOSS HALBTURN wines are available in different filling sizes (0,375l-15l). Tegernseerhof Winery

The Tegernseerhof is situated in the middle of one of the most beautiful winegrowing regions in Austria. The Mittelbach family’s Tegernseerhof, located in Unterloiben, just below Dürnstein, boasts a tradition dating back to the year 1002. The original facilities were built in 1176 by the Benedictine community of the Tegernsee Abbey. At the time, the abbey was recognized as a center for literature, the production of illustrated books and erudition. For centuries, the abbey was where the Bavarian monastery produced its wine. At the turn of the 19th century, it was acquired by the Austrian Empire and later, it went into private ownership. Means, it was the first Winery in the Eastern Wachau. Franz Mittelbach and his wife, Mathilde, are the fifth generation of Tegernseerhof owners. Since the 1970s, they have been continuously running the Tegernseerhof as a family business. Today, Martin Mittelbach, the son of Franz and Mathilde, is the current part of this history. The Tegernseerhof vineyards flourish on stone terraces whose verdant soil plays host to a rich variety of indigenous fauna. Among the best-known, excellent locations and wines are Schuett, Hoehereck and Loibenberg (for Grüner Veltliner) as well as Loibenberg, Steinertal and Kellerberg (for Riesling). As a member of the exclusive association “Vinea Wachau”, the vinification follows the regulations of the “Codex Wachau“ - a declaration of dedication to natural wine production and the strictest control. Various air masses converge on all single vineyards: cold forest air from tributary valleys of Austria’s Waldviertel and warmer air from the Pannonic Plain. Among other things, the constant movement of the air masses contributes to the creation of aromas in the grapes, while the hillside vineyards get just the right amount of sunlight and at night, the dry stone slopes retain the necessary amount of warmth for the vines.

Weingut Am Berg

We like to keep things simple - so we have a small (and friendly!) team. A small team means everyone can be fully involved in the winemaking from start to finish. It’s just two brothers Micheal, Ludwig junior, mother Melitta, father Ludwig and our unique grandmother. We have to deal with three types of soil (bedrock – “Urgestein”, loess and clay) and with a climate that is probably to be found in this constellation only in a few places on Earth. Typical of the around 200 (in Langenlois) to 450 (in Mittelberg) metres high valley, there are hot days and cool nights in the summer and long sunny periods in autumn. These contrasting conditions give the Kamptal wines their unparalleled, crystal-clear, mineral character. Our idea is to craft wines that are textural, complex and food friendy. To do this, we take grapes from a handful of specially selected vineyard sites around Mittelberg and Langenlois, each of which contribute different flavours and aromas to the wine. The resulting wine gives complexity and depth to our wines. We want to show with our wines the unique terroir of the Kamptal.

Soll das erste oder das letzte Glas einer Flasche Wein die größte Freude machen? Diese Grundsatzfrage prägt unser Tun im Keller maßgeblich. Wir haben uns ganz entschieden dem letzten Glas verschrieben. Früher stand die Kellerarbeit im Mittelpunkt und hatte großen Einfluss auf den Wein. Gewissermaßen wurde der Wein damals eher „gemacht“. Mittlerweile lassen wir die Weine vielmehr „entstehen“. Von der Traube bis zur Flasche Wein bildet die Arbeit im Keller die nötige Basis. Der Wein entwickelt sich, dafür stellen wir uns gerne so weit wie möglich in den Hintergrund. Zugegeben bleibt beim Weinbauern nach wie vor ein markanter Einfluss auf Charakteristika und Qualität. In gezielter, bewusster und vernünftiger Weise. Das letzte Glas jeder Flasche Wein ist uns dafür sehr dankbar.
