Tselepos Wines is a 30 year old Greek family winery producing high quality wines in Peloponnese and Santorini. We focus on the indigenous varieties: moschofilero, assyrtiko and agiorgitiko, to discover their potential in each microclimate (terroir). «Good wines are produced in the winery but fine wines are made in the vineyard”, this is the moto of the owner and winemaker Yiannis Tselepos. Thus, we invest in 65 hectares of a privately-owned vineyard, setting as our main priority the quality of the grapes and care of the vineyard. We respect the tradition and the use of technology for the improvement of the wine quality. Vineyard practices are mainly done manually but we also apply “precision viticulture” (e.g. the use of drone for vineyard mapping).We use cutting edge oenological equipment and experiment with aging vessels like: stainless tanks, french oak barrels, wooden tanks, clay amphorae and concrete wine eggs. Our philosophy is that we do mild interventions in the wine, when they are essential. Afianes Wines
THE AFIANES WINERY was created in 1997 at Raches, Ikaria. We started this project out of love for it, and our main goal was to give Ikaria's wine the place it deserves on the wine map of Greece. In September 2007, our modern winery opened to the public at Profitis Ilias, Raches. It is built on a vineyard at an altitude of 610m. The "cyclopean petal", the place of traditional wine jar storage, predispose the visitor for the wine making process. In the basement of the winery there is a wine making and bottling facility as well as a special cellar for wine maturing and storage. On the upper floor, there are the winery’s office, presentation and tasting facilities and a show room with a "museum type" collection of traditional utensils. The final touch of our winery setting is a small, ancient type theater, and a traditional building designated as a vintage cellar. Visitors have the opportunity to taste our wine in all these places whilst enjoying an imposing view to the Aegean Sea.

There, Georgios Argyrakis, horse trader, following the local traditional practices, made a remarkable wine in his own estate. After the Great fire of Smyrna in 1922, the family moved in Thessaloniki, Greece. The grandson, Giorgos Argyrakis, continues family’s wine tradition and after a great career, as leading Oenologist, in Boutaris S.A, a famous wine industry, established Argyrakis Wines in 1997. Argyrakis Wines is a family business based in Naoussa, north Greece. Tradition in Distilling since 1893 Our history starts in northeastern Greece and in particular in the small city of Komotini, where people true to traditions started to produce and bottle ouzo in rudimentary facilities. The large recognition of our products in the region of Thrace leads us to take the next steps, thus setting up a branch office in Thessaloniki and expanding our market beyond the restricted limits of the region. In 1980 for the first time, the Thracian ouzo crosses the Greek borders. The first bottles find their place on the shelves of German stores. Papagiannis Winery
The Papagianni family cultivates their vineyards and has been producing wine for five generations. Since the beginning of the 20th century, our family, abstracting from the land of Mesogeia only the best quality grapes from the variety of Savatiano, and winemaking in our own facilities, has always managed to produce superior wine quality. In doing so, the winery gained an important position in the field of production and processing. At the same time, in recent years we have been vinifying various varieties of Greek and International vineyards, such as Moschofilero, Malagouzia, Agiorgitiko, Merlot & Cabernet. By doing this, our winery gained an important position in the sector of wine production and processing. The winery was relocated into our current premises in Pallini in 1990. This date is a benchmark for our enterprise as we modernized the company, by purchasing modern machinery and hiring specialized staff. During the same period, we started the wine bottling production. The "Wines of Greece"(National Interprofessional Organization of Vine and Wine) established in from the institutions KEOSOE (Central Union of Vine and Wine producing cooperative Organizations of Greece), which is a third degree branch cooperative organization, and SEO (Greek Wine Federation), which represents the majority of private wine producers. The Interprofessional Organization of Vine and Wine has been recognized as national by the Hellenic Agricultural Ministry since 2001 (Decision No 339097/9-2-2001) and represents both vine and wine sectors in Greece. Some of the basic aims of the Organization are to- improve knowledge and transparency of production and the market - help to coordinate better the way products are placed on the market, in particular by means of research and market studies - provide the information and carry out the research necessary to adjust production towards products more suited to market requirements and consumer tastes and expectations, in particular with regard to product quality and protection to the environment - develop methods and instruments for improving product quality at all stages of production, vinification and marketing etc. Since its establishing, the National Interprofessional Organization of Vine and Wine has already developed a lot of activities to carry out the above aims.

Domaine Skouras cultivates the indigenous varieties grown in Argolida, Corinthia, Mantinia and Nemea, which are Roditis-Alepou, Moscofilero, Malagouzia, Agiorghitiko and most recently, Mavrostifo of Argos, an old and rare variety of the region. In addition, international varieties are also cultivated, such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot. IN THE 70’S, COSTAS LAZARIDIS strongly believed that not only could his homeland produce high quality wines deserving of a place on the world stage, but that in due time, Drama could eventually be crowned a “City of Wine”. In 1979, in Xiropotamos, a village situated on the slopes of Mount Falakro, Costas Lazaridis founded the first modern linear vineyard in Drama and later he built the only, at the time, modern winery in the region. After starting with a small 10-hectare vineyard, we now manage 300 hectares of private vineyards with the finest Greek and International grape varieties. The vineyards of the Estate can be found in 4 different locations around Drama: Adriani, Kali Vrisi, Katafyto and Platania, with each location possessing unique characteristics. Consequently, we take advantage of the versatile-multifaceted terroir of each area. Our vines are grown according to sustainable farming standards and all grapes are vinified in the modern facilities of our Estate. Apart from our Estate in Drama, in 2005, Costas Lazaridis also created a second winery in Kapandriti-Attica named Oenotria Land, which includes a 20-hectare vineyard and the unique “Costa Lazaridis Wine Museum”.
