Marine Biotechnology Products- Mauritius
MBP is a state of the art factory commissioned in July 2008, entirely dedicated to the production of fishmeal and oil, manufacturing on behalf of some of the world’s largest customers in petfood, aquaculture, poultry and cattle feed. Our products are manufactured from tuna by-products originating from EU approved tuna processing establishment, meets international standards in terms of specifications and quality. MBP have skilled and passionate personnel with global tuna industry skill sets. We also have a dedicated customer management structure providing full personalized support throughout the supply chain Responsible supplier: We are also a member of GOED (Global Organization of EPA and DHA), IFFO (International fish meal and fish oil Organization) and IOTOA (Indian ocean tuna operators association) which also aims at promoting sustainability, social compliance and adhere to IUU regulation. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. IBL plays a crucial role in the seafood hub in Mauritius, as it has invested in the different stages of the tuna value chain (except for fishing vessels). Subsequently, IBL has the means of ensuring full traceability all the way from the fishing zone, fishing vessel and to the final product going to the end user, whether it be for the canned tuna or other value added products such as fish oil and fishmeal. Our factory is designed to ensure R&D and continuous improvements to achieve higher quality standards and ensure world class efficiency and waste reduction. Our certifications Friend of the Sea and MarinTrust are one of the proof of this commitment to sustainability.

The main activities of Axonova are based on two business models.
