Hansabiomed Life Sciences Ltd
HansaBioMed Life Sciences, founded in 2007, is the first company entirely focused on the research in the field of exosomes, extracellular vesicles (EVs) and nanoparticles. Today HansaBioMed collaborates with various international research groups, both academic and industrial, and participates in research projects aimed to implement the knowledge on the full potential of the EVs. With our expertise gathered in over 15 years of activity, we actively work not only to improve the current technologies for EV isolation and characterization but also to investigate new fields of application of the extracellular vesicles. Together with the research activities, HansaBioMed provides its customers with high quality of services and products dedicated to the exosomes and EV research. Our service portfolio includes scalable and automated purification of extracellular vesicles from conditioned media, biofluids or plant extracts, bulk or single EV characterization, biomarker assessment by mass spectrometry and RNA seq. Our catalog of products covers a broad range of purified EVs, tools for EV purification, enrichment and characterization. Our facilities are located in Tallinn (Estonia), in the Technology park Tehnopol. Since 2019, HansaBioMed is part of the Exosomics group. Exosomics is a company located in Siena (Italy), founded in 2011 by the same founders of HansaBioMed with the aim to leverage the EV potential for diagnostic purposes.

Ada Pharma
Development of biotechnology of production of ecologically compatible standardised raw materials of medicinal plants as exemplified by Rhodiola rosea. Plants have a long selection cycle and an uncontrollable contents of biologically active substances (BAS). What complicates industrial production of medicines. Rhodiola rosea is a valuable medicinal plant. It is antioxidant, antidepressant and anticarcinogenic. It stimulates the central nervous system. We have produced micro clones of Rhodiola rosea with a high content of BAS. Later, these samples can be maintained in culture, grown up in a hydroponic hothouse or in fields, converted into a cell culture and grown up in a bioreactor. Conversion of Rhodiola rosea into culture has great prospects both for industrial production of standardised medicinal raw materials, and for preservation of this rare plant in nature.

Zipprime Oü
ZipPrime is an R&D-based biotechnology company that has developed several novel technologies for capturing, detection and preservation of nucleic acid molecules. With a strong background in molecular biology, ZipPrime’s R&D team has been able to conceive and demonstrate a novel and far higher efficient method for molecular targeting and capturing of oligonucleotides, including rare and fragile circulating-free DNA (cfDNA) molecules, at a single molecule level. Instead of standard size selection-based nucleic acid isolation and purification methods, traditionally used in the industry, ZipPrime’s capturing technology centres around magnetic particle-based novel primer structures which can target each and every oligonucleotide molecules as a simple, elegant, accurate and low cost solution. These versatile magnetic particle-based-based structures also allow the reusable storage and enrichment of captured oligonucleotides without the need for complicated devices or protocols. An initial UK patent application for this technology was filed in 2012 and a following PCT application in 2014. ZipPrime’s intellectual property (IP) of core nucleic acid capturing, storage and enrichment technology is protected by a patent portfolio consisting of a patent family based upon the PCT application published in 2014 and entered the National/Regional Phase in key territories and ZipPrime’s first patent has been granted in February 2017.
