Biosistemika

BioSistemika specializes in custom software development, digitalization consulting, and development of laboratory software products. Over the past 10 years, we have worked with many laboratory instrument manufacturers and delivered software products that were tailored to our customer needs. We have completed several in vitro diagnostic (IVD) projects and non-IVD software projects for our customers for which we developed entire software product suites, starting from requirements, design specification, coding, and testing. For IVD, we are working in accordance with ISO 13485 and IEC 62304. We have vast experience in software-hardware integrations and are supporting standardization efforts that enable interoperability. BioSistemika also has immense experience with resolving compatibility with laboratory equipment, other software systems, connections between coding languages, big data storage, and analysis. Naše podjetje tako že več kot 20 let nudi rešitve na področjih kot so kemija, ekologija, farmacija, molekularna biologija, forenzika in podobno. Zastopamo tri vodilne proizvajalce instrumentov za analize s teh področij, Perkin Elmer, Sciex in Thermo Fisher Scientific (blagovne znamke Applied Biosystems®, Invitrogen™, Gibco™, Molecular Probes™, Ion Torrent™ in Novex®). Glavno poslanstvo našega podjetja je pomagati pri prenosu in uvajanju novih, hitro razvijajočih se tehnologij in postopkov s področja kemijske analitike in molekularne biologije v slovenski prostor. Institute Of Metagenomics And Microbial Technologies

Institute of Metagenomics and Microbial Technologies (IMMT) is driven by the belief that the multidisciplinary research of composition and complex interaction within microbial communities will help to prevent and cure diseases caused by antimicrobial resistant (AMR) bacteria. Patients infected by such bacteria are generally at increased risk of worse clinical outcomes and death and consume more healthcare resources than those infected by nonresistant ones (source: WHO). Since AMR infections are globally increasing this has become a growing problem of worldwide proportions. The IMMT team of researchers lead by PI dr. Ales Lapanje is keen to get different solutions to mitigate problems associated with AMR bacteria. Our team members has more than 10 years of experience in the field of molecular microbial ecology, supported by more than 40 independent academic and industrial projects. Based on understanding the functioning of microbial communities we are now ready to make new steps in finding more effective solutions for in fighting against AMR bacteria. We approach this problem by using functional metagenomics to obtain antimicrobially active agents for which we develop methods for its delivery to specific microbial targets.
