Libyan Fertilizer Company Lifeco

The Libyan Norwegian Fertiliser Company is located at Marsa el Brega, on the Mediterranean coast, about 700 kilometers east of the Libyan capital Tripoli. Production units Lifeco, employing approximately 1.200 persons, is operating, since February 2009, two Ammonia and two Urea plants (prilling) in Marsa el Brega. The majority of the finished product volumes is sold to countries around the Mediterranean Sea. Significant volumes are also sold to countries further down in Africa and into the 77 Americas.
