Diadrasi
Diadrasi means "Interaction". We started before 15 years as a voluntary initiative by a group of young people for actions against Internet and Computer Addiction. Today we are a leading team of specialists in what is known as "Digital Addiction". Children and adolescents are still the central target of our efforts. At the era of ubiquitous computing where digital devices are an intergral part of our everyday life, we need to point out the dangers that may underlie every click, screen scroll and screen interaction. Most importantly what needs to be prevented is the possibility that our kids and us may lose parts of ourselves and lives scattered around the Web by limiting our personalities to profiles uploaded in social networks. Technology can be a menace or a blessing. We are here to ensure the latter by informing, support counselling, encounter groups and special workshops. https://diadrasi.org/

Co-Fund
We are a group of people from Greece who came together in the years of the financial crisis, seeking a personal and collective way out of unemployment, financial insecurity and poor working conditions. We believe that the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) is a promising alternative for society, contrary to the current dominant economic model, which is responsible for some of the current greatest social and environmental impasses of our time. In trying to create new SSE projects and more jobs, the biggest obstacle we encountered was the lack of resources that would allow SSE to spread in a sustainable way. To this end, we have been thinking of the idea of Community Funding: a permanent community of solidarity between people who either need more democratic, sustainable and socially useful work, or are able to contribute financially to that end. In collaboration with some of the most dynamic SSE collectives in Greece, we have set up Co-Fund to make our project a reality.

Sae World Council Of Hellenes Abroad
In 1995, the Greeks abroad joined forces for the first time forming “Greece of the World”. A presidential decree instituted World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) to consult and advise the Greek State on issues concerning the Greeks abroad. A firm demand and vision expressed by World Hellenism finally materialized enjoying broad political consent. The Founding Assembly of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad convened on November 29 through December 8, 1995 in Thessaloniki and elected the dynamic Andrew A. Athens from Chicago, USA, to the presidency (1995-2006). SAE initially comprised of four geographic Regions managed by an 11-member Presiding Board, while Thessaloniki became established as SAE’s permanent headquarters and “capital city” of World Hellenism Maturity and solid experience acquired over the years consolidated the belief that SAE can evolve into an organization with a great future. The implementation of Law No. 3480/2006 gave SAE new impetus guaranteeing its consultative, advisory, assertive and supportive role to the Greek State.Pursuant to the new Law the number of Regions increased from four to seven. The 6th World Convention in December 2006 elects Stefanos P. Tamvakis to the president’s office. The biggest challenge and SAE’s main goal is to establish cooperation, offer support and unite World Hellenism making it even stronger. SAE’s main goal is to bring together the Greeks of the Diaspora creating a global Network aimed at planning and materializing programmes for the benefit of the Omogeneia to be subsequently conveyed to the Greek State thus fulfilling its role as an advisory and consultative body.

Diaplous Social Cooperative
Diaplous is one of the first social enterprises in Greece established by the law 2716/99. Diaplous acquired its legal status sometime in early 2004. A team of mental health professionals, people with psychosocial problems, friends and legal persons were gathered together and the journey began! This journey was a demanding one, as we had to meet the challenge of creating a business, with long-term viability, in which people with psychosocial problems would work. During this journey, we have encountered various obstacles, financial and, mainly bureaucratic. However, our persistence and patience have been remarkable. At the end of 2007, through funding we received, we started a new initiative developing a team offering gardening services to private customers in the wider area of Attica. We also bought agricultural equipment and installed an one-acre greenhouse in order to cultivate the land. We renovated an old space in the center of Athens and opened up a shop selling traditional products from all over Greece. Having acquired considerable experience over the following years, we thought that a re-organisation of our business activities was due. We transformed the gardening team into a grass cutting and clearing team, meanwhile staying faithful to our commitment with regards to product cultivation, having in mind many plans of extending and enriching our activities further. We then dared to venture towards the new challenge of cleaning services. At the same time, a decision was made to close down the traditional products store, and were later vindicated for the decision to cease its operation.

The Home Project
The HOME Project is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 to address the needs of unaccompanied refugee children who arrive in Greece alone. Children who have been forced flee their countries and remain unprotected, find shelter in the safety of its 13 homes in the center of Athens. There, in addition to warmth, security, and stability, they are provided with a comprehensive framework of child protection services, which facilitate their smooth and meaningful integration into society. Through its child protection model, The HOME Project provides social, mental health and legal support, as well as access to education, while offering a safe, stable and healing environment, where children are empowered to reclaim their childhood, take charge of their lives, and build a future for themselves. The organization’s Child Protection Unit (CPU) – a team of highly experienced psychologists, social workers, lawyers, caregivers and educators- develops and implements Individual Development Plans (IDP) for every child they care for. These include both short and long-term interventions based on each child’s specific needs. Over the past 8 years, The HOME Project has transformed the lives of over 1,400 unaccompanied refugee children from more than 40 countries, and has contributed to numerous positive changes in the national institutional ecosystem for the protection of unaccompanied minors. Additionally, it has created 300 jobs (with 50% of its staff being members of the migrant and refugee community, including former beneficiaries), offered 51 scholarships in leading academic institutions in Greece and abroad, and raised more than €35 million in support of unaccompanied refugee children living in Greece.

Istorima
At Istorima you can hear the stories and histories of others and also share your own. Here, in their own voices, people share stories of difficulty, or of love; stories that changed them or defined them; contemporary stories as well as stories from past. These stories help us to know one another, to come closer to one another, and also to become closer to our common history. Istorima preserves important human stories of lives and experiences that aren't recorded in written histories. Istorima is the co-creation of the historian Katherine Fleming and the journalist Sofia Papaioannou, and brings together history and journalism. It is the largest collection of oral histories ever to be undertaken in Greece. Istorima is a non-profit company supported by a founding grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), within the framework of their “Recharging the Youth” initiative. Istorima is each of us and our stories, stories which must not be lost.

Fabric Republic
Το κεντρικό μας σύνθημα αντικατοπτρίζει τη φιλοσοφία μας σε ακέραιο βαθμό: No Empty Clothes (N.E.C) To πρόγραμμα υλοποιείται με δωρεά από το Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος

One Happy Family
WITH the people - not FOR them! «One Happy Family» is a community center on the Greek island of Lesvos. Lesvos is, due to the close distance to Turkey, an important waypoint for people fleeing from wars and crises in the Middle-East and Northern Africa. These people stay on the island for many month, as the EU-Turkey deal hinders the continuation of their journey to the mainland. Because of the severe human rights situation in Turkey, they can also not be sent back in most cases. With our center, which is growing steadily and welcomes several hundred people every day, do we fill gaps which have been created by insufficient humanitarian aid and lack of governmental intervention. Our aim is to give a piece of dignity and self-determination back to the thousands of people which are stuck on Lesvos. In the center, there are many projects, which have been built upon request and initiative of the refugees. The community center is not being built and run FOR the people, but WITH them. Together with people from different nations, volunteers and fled people, it will become a community. The people from the camps are not only engaged in building and running but also in idea finding and decision making. That’s how we want to give them back some independency, automotive and a sense of responsibility. Those people often live in total dependency of governmental help and NGOs. Most of them don’t want that. They want to help themselves. Self-determined instead of determined by others. The project is financed by private donations.
