Codebrave
CodeBrave is responding to Lebanon’s urgent need to equip the next generation with the tech and cognitive skills that align with the demands of the future workforce. Having started as a grassroots project at an orphanage in Kahaleh, we have since taught students at 80 schools and centres. We believe all children have the right to a great education and future opportunities to fulfil their potential. We have a bold vision: to introduce computer science and AI education as standard for all children in Lebanon starting at age 10. This initiative will be transformative for Lebanon, creating opportunities for young people and boosting the economy. This is a smart solution to an urgent problem: 88% of Lebanese tech companies report struggling to find the talent they need, while the tech sector in MENA is projected to grow fourfold from 2022 to 2030. Yet, schools in Lebanon leave youth ill-equipped, teaching an IT curriculum last updated in 1997, with youth unemployment at 48%. Candidates with tech skills can fill gaps at local companies or work remotely to meet the growing need in the region. We operate through two modalities: trained CodeBrave teachers directly delivering classes to students or by upskilling local school teachers through intensive training and coaching to deliver our accredited curriculum to their students. Since 2020, we’ve come a long way- students aged 7-21 gained computer science and digital skills with CodeBrave, mainly through classes delivered as part of their school timetable- 53% of our students are female- 144 teachers at 80 public schools have been upskilled to deliver computer science & AI education independently- 95% positive outcomes from our WebDev graduates (securing internships, jobs or university scholarships).

Nusaned
Nusaned is a humanitarian, community-based and volunteer organization. We believe that the power to create change comes from working collaboratively. Nusaned does not engage in any political activity, and remains at equal distance from all religions. We support communities based on a non-biased, egalitarian and value-based needs assessment process. As the Lebanese economy struggled, businesses shuttered, unemployment rates reached unprecedented levels, and poverty numbers spiked, the management team at Sirajart unanimously agreed to divert the company’s commitment and energy towards charitable social work. Their move was envisioned as an integral part of their corporate social responsibility. This shift proved to be the catalyst to create Nusaned in December 2019, just two months after the October 17th Uprising in Lebanon. Nusaned began by reaching out to local stakeholders in North Lebanon, seeking to address agricultural deficiencies of marginalized rural communities. The poverty, deprivation, and substandard living conditions of local residents prompted our team to respond quickly by providing much-needed food parcels, hygiene kits and clothing, while also initiating the rehabilitation of homes. Through those spontaneous actions came the building blocks of Nusaned’s agriculture and housing projects, which gradually evolved from an aid model into a platform to foster self-sufficiency and economic sustainability for these communities. Our vision is to empower the marginalized Lebanese communities, throughout Lebanon, to live sustainably. Our mission is to support under-served Lebanese communities to become self-sustaining by offering access to food security, building shelter and providing ongoing opportunities for productive economies. We do this through innovative and effective partnerships with communities as well as locally engaged, international organizations and donors.

Achrafieh 2020
Everyone deserves to live in dignity. This is why Achrafieh 2020 spearheads initiatives that support the community, improve the quality of life in Achrafieh, promote unity, and revive the social and cultural fabric. At Achrafieh 2020 our mission is to stimulate a sustainable environment, citizens’ rights, and Beirut’s cultural and traditional heritage. To achieve this, we spearhead and participate in diverse initiatives that preserve the dignity and rights of all segments of society while also improving Beirut. Since our launch in 2013, all our good work has been based on uncompromisable principles: respect for human dignity, safeguarding the identity of our beneficiaries, and preserving our independence and integrity by refusing donations that come with conditions. We are defined by integrity and unconditional support and solidarity with the community. Everything we do is in accordance with the law and approval of concerned authorities. For maximum impact, Achrafieh 2020 works independently as well as in collaboration with public and private entities. But at all times, the best interests of the neighborhood and the community always come first. From the very start, our activities have resonated with Achrafieh’s residents and the NGO has gained traction. All our initiatives promote the credo of living together in dignity, integrity, and solidarity. People from all over Lebanon, young and old, have attended our entertaining cultural events that also support small local businesses in Achrafieh by giving them a platform to showcase their products and services.
