Stichting Re-integratie Kansarmen (Stichting RIKA) biedt inspirerende en innovatieve reïntegratietrajecten aan(ex-)psychiatrische patiënten,(ex-)drugsverslaafden en thuis- en daklozen in Suriname. Saamaka Oto Vsg
We, the Saamaka communities, are Afro-Surinamese people belonging to the Saamaka tribe. Approximately community members live in our territory – approximately 5% of the Surinamese population. We have lived in Suriname’s rainforest for more than 300 years. We are stewards of 1.4 million hectares of Amazon rainforest – 9% of the Surinamese territory. With the rapid advancement of uncontrolled logging and gold mining in their territories, this tribe is at risk of extinction. How are we organized? The Association of Saamaka Authorities (VSG) was created in 1996 to represent the position of traditional Saamaka leaders from 74 villages (and their people) concerning increasing human and land rights violations by the Surinamese state. As an organized group, these leaders, through the VSG, could successfully take such violations to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.

Stichting K.A.S.E.K.O
Stichting K.A.S.E.K.O stands for Kerngroep Accreditatie Surinaams Erfgoed door Kaseko Onderzoek, which is the main goal of our foundation: research of the music genre and filing for intangible cultural heritage at the UNESCO. Kaseko as dance music originated a century ago and brought forward many great Surinamese musicians such as Jopie Vriese, Mighy Botai, George Scheermaker, Ewald Krolis, Leo Knoppel, Pa Rani Mathurin and Lieve Hugo. The list is long and the legacy they left behind even longer. As one of our first milestone the foundation petitioned for the 13th of december to be The National Day of the Kaseko. Everyone can have an event or activity on that day in commemoration of the genre and the legends. In 2023 we will celebrate this day officially for the first time.
