Resolutions Pr
After Hurricane María hit Puerto Rico in 2017 and so many people lost their homes, I felt the need to help our island and the local recuperation efforts. I joined one of the biggest international firms known for their disaster recovery work: Ceres Environmental Services. Together, we worked on derby and rubbish removal for 30 municipalities in Puerto Rico. This provided a great opportunity to establish working relationships with mayors and government agencies which, combined with my experience and background, made me believe that my dream could be turned into a reality. I knew that RESolutions could create a space to develop industry leaders that look to face the challenges ahead with professionalism, determination and compromise. Resilient Engineering Solutions was born from that idea. Our organizations believes in creating a safe and resilient Puerto Rico through key alliances that can help us in developing better construction methods for safer housing and solid commercial projects. We aspire to unite the best talent in Puerto Rico and the world to benefit our communities and our people. Let's build it right! Spec Engineering Services Psc
SPEC ENGINEERING SERVICES provides engineering, design, project management and inspection services to private and public sector clients. The owner is professional engineer, licensed in Puerto Rico, with over 15 years of experience in the design and management of commercial, industrial, institutional, highway bridges, and residential projects. Our firm offers Forensic Engineering services. We have ferroscans, and Ground Penetrating Radar to scan the concrete structures. These devices are capable of capturing an inside image of concrete elements to determine the diameter, spacing and cover of the existing steel bars. The Ferroscan & GPR eliminates the need to do destructive exploration on structural elements, resulting in a more accurate and effective way to determine the actual reinforcement in order to do an accurate structural analysis of existing structures. We have available a Concrete Thickness Gauges. With this we can determine the structural thickness of a concrete element simply from just one side of the concrete element and determine internal delamination. The Forensic Engineering Services provided goes from simple rebar identification to locating them in the concrete if penetrations or inserts need to be done and the rebar cannot be cut, to a full scan analysis to determine the rebar size, spacing and cover. With this information, an accurate structural as-built can be made by introducing this information into a computer 3D model and obtaining the actual demand capacity of the existing structure. We can provide concrete testing services to determine the compressive strength of cylindrical concrete specimens as well as grout. With the combination of the Ferroscan & the CTG we can provide a true structural as-built of any concrete structure. Other services available are tension tests to rebars, load tests to structural and nonstructural elements, FRP testing and installation. This service consists of structural retrofit of columns, beams and walls.
