The association's mission is to increase public awareness of the conscious development of business activities in terms of societal responsibility, sustainability and impact. Fine Ecosystem
FINE Ecosystem is a student-run organization in Finland creating sober-friendly events and environments for students. We also build student-led projects where our team can earn money and complete internships through student-life activities. We began operations in 2025 by launching the first Vappu Olympics, a series of competition-style events where students represent their universities in challenges like our Spicy Wing Challenge & Uno Tournament. After Vappu, we hosted 50+ free events throughout the summer and fall, including our popular weekly beach volleyball, with free ice cream sundaes for everyone once a month. The community continued to grow through our weekly indoor volleyball at Töölön Kisahalli every Friday night. We ended the year with our Halloween Trick-or-Treat experience starting with pumpkin carving, then trick-or-treating while trying different snacks and treats. FINE started with a team of 14 (staff and volunteers) during Vappu Olympics 2025, largely made up of Haaga-Helia students. Since then, many individuals have supported FINE through partnerships, sponsorships, and aligned communities. Our umbrella term for everyone who helps us build is FINE Players, and today we have 100+ active FINE Players pursuing our mission together. FINE has gained recognition across both education and the broader public in Finland. First through a nomination for SAMOK’s Student Act of the Year by student union Helga, and later through support from Finnish pop artist IBE, who invited our team to his pre-album listening party in October 2025. As of January 2026, alongside our annual Vappu Olympics, we’ve activated Student Stitches; a project that empowers artists to create patches with us through a profit-sharing model while being recognized for their designs. Later in 2026, Student Rental Hub will launch. Our future roadmap includes a food museum celebrating global food cultures, our Group Gap Year organizing gap year trips around the world.

What is the best way to make the world a better place? From this important question, an impactful global community has emerged: Effective Altruism (EA). We seek empirically effective ways to address the most pressing issues of our time, and then act based on the results. Around this philosophy, various fields of research, start-up communities for charitable organizations, agencies evaluating their effectiveness, career counseling organizations, local groups, and conferences have developed. Effective Altruism Finland ry and Local Organizations Our goal is to raise awareness of Effective Altruism and support each other and anyone interested in doing more good, prioritizing impact. EA organizations in Finland bring people together to learn and discuss Effective Altruism, and to support one another to help better through career choices, donations, and volunteering. EA Tampere is the local chapter of EA Finland in Tampere.
