Ideology By The Parents
Dávame veciam, ľuďom a udalostiam význam, zmysluplníme svet okolo nás. Občianske zmysluplnenie vytvára význam ideí a tém, scitlivuje. We create meaning of things, humans and events, we do meaning-making of the surrounding world. Civil meaning-making sensitizes, it creates meaning of ideas and issues. The goal is to share experience of diversity, to strengthen solidarity or to mobilise communities. Political meaning-making reinforces people in power struggles. It purposefully dramatizes political life, introduces people to meaning arenas and redefines it. Meaning-making in business is close to cultural branding, it’s about brands. Iconic objects grant meaning and joy of everyday life to brand communities and their creators. Kristína & Jan

Oz Dobrý Pastier - Good Shepherd
In the community Good Shepherd lives more than 750 people on the margine of society. There are old and sick people without sufficient resources for medical and social care, ex-homeless people, young people from children's homes, and people who had problems with alcohol, drugs and the addictions in the past. These people work in various working groups and companies established by community. Some clients have taken nursing courses to help the elder and the sick. Work helps them to find usefulness, to return to life, but also to make money for themselves and community development - building repairs and investment in new projects. The idea of this project came from priest Vladimír Maslák. Vladimir was able to repair old buildings with his clients for nursing homes for seniors and sick people and for other purposes - e.g. agricultural production, hostels, kitchens, bakery, chapels, etc. At the same time, he is building the house for homeless people and families and helping them get back to life. Our enterpreneurial units: • Social care units for old people (many of our clients are re-qualified for male nurses) • Farming (animals, vegetables, fruits) • Food production – cheese, meat products, marmalades • Stonemasonry • Repairing old furniture and equipment • Recycling of the worn-down industrial products • Construction works – investment into old buildings in the region and their re-construction of for social purposes • Weaving carpets and hand made products • Logistics and distribution of scrap food from supermarkets • Psychological, financial and legal services for homeless and old people
