Amaru Foundation's main goal is to contribute to the conservation and protection of biodiversity, focusing on Ecuador's most threatened species, ethnicities, and habitats. Our main activities include wildlife protection, environmental education and research, and habitat conservation projects. Wildlife Protection: In Amaru Wildlife Conservation Center we host over different species in 8 hectares dedicated to protecting wildlife. Our team of 40+ scientists, biologists and environmentalists has over 20 years of experience taking care of, rescuing, rehabilitating, and reintroducing wild fauna to its natural habitat. We receive over annual visits to our center and rescue over 400 species each year. Environmental Education and Research: Amarus' team has published 10 scientific papers which include the discovery of a new Andean species of Philodryas (green snake), protocols to breed and rehabilitate the Andean bear, and an investigation on monitoring the Andean Condor. Habitat Conservation Projects: Amaru Foundation protects over hectares of Andean and Amazonian threatened forests. We aim to expand our protected territory to up to hectares in the next 2 years. Our mission is to preserve natural habitats in partnership with local communities and promote sustainable activities that will ensure social, environmental, and economical sustainability.

Amazoonico Wildlife Rescue Center
AmaZOOnico is a wildlife rescue centre located in the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest that rehabilitates, reintroduces, and cares for animals who are victims of illegal trade. Visitors and volunteers are welcome to help and learn! All of the animals that arrive at the centre are brought by the Ministry of the Environment, the result of confiscations from people who have kept them as pets or intended to sell or trade them on the black market. Some animals arrive suffering from multiple physical and behavioural problems which make it impossible for them to live free in the forest. In those cases, we provide them with spacious and comfortable enclosures where they can live in the most natural conditions possible. In other cases, the animals arrive in good physical and mental condition and after passing through quarantine, various examinations, and a rehabilitation process, they can be successfully reintroduced back into their natural habitat.

Savia Foundation
The Savia Foundation, Inc. is a U.S-based non-profit organization established in 2024. We are a group of storytellers, conservationists, scientists and lawyers who use our expertise to document, protect and defend biodiversity through land protection and restoration, photographic and videographic storytelling, and education and species monitoring. We work with local stakeholders to foster sustainable, harmonic relationships between humans and the environment. WE BELIEVE IN THE RIGHTS OF NATURE. Wild ecosystems and the people that depend on them have the inalienable right to exist and to thrive. And we use our strengths and expertise to help defend these Rights. WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF STORYTELLING. Photography and videography can gather reliable data on wildlife and generate images with an impact, convincing others to join our cause. And the tourism they generate can be a powerful economic means for the people who live with and care for natural ecosystems. WE BELIEVE IN EMPOWERING PEOPLE. Those people living most closely with an ecosystem should the drive the push for conservation through their first-hand knowledge and their ability to project conservation into the future. We listen, dialogue, support and help amplify their efforts.

Paisajes Efímeros
Our photo documentary project aims to shed light on the devastating effects of global warming on Ecuador's glaciers. Through stunning imagery and storytelling, we will capture the retreat of these glaciers and the impact it has on the country's water supply. We want to raise awareness that glacier retreat is only a symptom of a bigger issue - climate change - and that Ecuador's vital water source, the páramos which store, regulate and release the water are under threat. Join us on a journey to discover the beauty of Ecuador's glaciers and the urgent need to address the climate crisis.
