Needless to say, the combination of experience, knowledge and modern technology led the way for the successful course of business. With the constant and close cooperation with sheep milk producers, veterinary monitoring of the herds, the correct and very specific diet, daily monitoring and analysis at the product’s receipt, a top quality raw material is guaranteed, the milk, which then gives as a final product, feta cheese of rare quality, brewed from the land’s wild herbs, and strictly fixed in caloric value. The unit works according to ISO IFS and BRC certified by TUV AUSTRIA,by AGROCERT for the production and distribution of P.D.O products and D.I.O for the production of organic FETA. Respecting the environment works the biological function and cares for the ecological disposal of waste according to the European legislation.

OMIROS was founded by the Giannitsi family in 1984 and was named after the Ancient Greek poet Homer (Omiros in Greek), who made the earliest reference to the cheese we now call “FETA” in the text of his “Odyssey”. According to the legend, Polyphemus the Cyclops became the first cheesemaker when he accidentally discovered that the milk he had been storing in sheepskin bags would clot and become edible. That is how the production of feta cheese began in Ancient Greece. The family has been producing cheese products of exceptional taste and quality for five generations. The production of OMIROS products is based on traditional techniques of the local cheese makers, while the authenticity of their taste is hard to find these days. TRIKALON DAIRY FACTORY - TRIKKI S.A. was founded in 1960 by the Agricultural Bank and the Union of Cattle Breeding Unions of Western Thessaly. It was established on 16/11/2012 resulting from the conversion of the "joint venture of associations of agricultural cooperatives of Trikala - Karditsa SYN.P.E." in accordance with the provisions of articles 6 and 19 of Law 4015/2011. The name is borrowed from the Homeric name of the city of Trikala, Trikki. The primary goal was and remains the maintenance of high quality standards at all stages of production, which is also confirmed by the product quality and hygiene certificates: ISO 9001-ISO (HACCP). Exclusively local Greek milk from cooperative producers is processed, which is collected daily from livestock units in Western Thessaly certified for the non-use of genetically modified animal feed. Against the era of questioning what is genuine and good, TRIKKI SA. contrasts not only its good reputation but also its own good products. The dairy industry of "TRIKKI SA" you will find it at the 2nd km of the Trikala-Karditsa National Road on the outskirts of the town of Trikala.
