Hanilor - Lactalis Group
Founded in 1945 by the Nasrallah Family, Nasrallah Foods was primarily engaged in the importation, distribution and marketing of dairy products from Smeds Ltd in Finland. In the late 1950’s, Valio acquired Smeds Ltd. As a result, Nasrallah Foods added Valio’s products to their portfolio notably Penguin, in Lebanon and the Middle East. In 1990, the second generation renamed the company Hanilor SAL (formerly known as Nasrallah Foods). Two years later, following the withdrawal of Valio from the Middle Eastern market, Hanilor relinquished their right to the Valio brand, and in return obtained the Smeds and Penguin trademarks worldwide. In May 2018, Hanilor became part of Lactalis Group, following the signature of a joint venture agreement between both companies. Consequently, Hanilor added to its portfolio a multitude of prestigious brands, such as Président, Galbani, Lactel, and Valbresso. Lactalis is the number 1 cheese producer in the world, and European leaders in milk, butter and cream. Lactalis is also a major player in the chilled dairy, dairy ingredients and foodservice business. Our mission is to serve the needs of the consumer by providing products and services of superior quality at affordable prices, as well as generating a pleasurable experience for the consumer. Building a relationship of trust with our consumer is our top priority. The brands distributed by Hanilor today are the following- Smeds, Penguin, Kaavos, Al Fajr, Vacherel and Farmer (trademarks owned by the company)- Président, Galbani, Lactel, Valbresso, Nucrema, and Tello.

Manara Dairy
Manara Dairy Products was founded in 1960 by Mr. Youssef Abou Ghneim. It started as a simple farm where he would distribute milk around the town on his bicycle up until when the factory was built and set to function. Ever since the factory started running, only natural fresh milk was being processed to deliver our products. We are constantly updating our equipments and skills yet maintaining flavor in order to meet our motto “traditional homemade taste via high technology.” Since we are using 100% natural ingredients in our products, we constantly get positive feedback from our customers. We have been recognized by the Chamber Of Commerce Industry and Agriculture of Zahle and Bekaa by earning the Golden classification. Moreover, we are currently aiming to earn the ISO certificate.
