Rocketry Unit Beira Interior
We are a group of students from Universidade da Beira Interior and from Universidade de Coimbra with a common goal: develop and test a rocket to compete in EuRoC – a competition organized by Portugal Space, who look to stimulate university students to project and build their own rockets! In a time where the importance of diversity is getting more and more acknowledged around the world, it is with the greatest pride that we present a group of students that is formed by a mixture of experience and youth, with students from a big diversity of courses such as Astrophysics, Biology, Aeronautical engineering, Physics and Medicine, with some students without any connection to the area, and others with great projects such as STRATOSPOLCA – in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) – in their resumé. Our willpower made this project possible, and our mission is to prove that anyone – related to the area or not – can learn Rocket Science!

Eurosafe
EuroSafe started its activity shortly after September 11, 2001, a historical event that inspired the project up to this day, 16 years passed since its foundation. Initially, the company mainly imported safety equipment and special vehicles for the security forces and civil protection. Since the very beginning of its constitution until 2015, the business model was based on the distribution of renowned brands in the sector, having reached the highest level of recognition in 2005 with the beginning of the representation of the largest multinational in the sector, the Austrian company "Rosenbauer". The world's largest manufacturer of fire-fighting vehicles in terms of number and value, with which it established a 10-year bond until June 2015, as an exclusive importer. During this period, the company was directly involved in several projects of armed forces reequipment, airports expansion, firefighters and security forces, as well as high risk industry. Cumulatively, EuroSafe, from 2007 to the present, has gravitated to the first public procurement platforms, accumulating knowledge in the different portals and using them on a daily basis. This fact gave us very reasonable levels of performance during the first years, initially as distributors of equipment and special rescue-service vehicles and since 2015 taking on the role of subcontracting manufacturers for final product, though controlling raw materials and manufacturing quality. Instituto Hidrográfico - Marinha Portuguesa
The Hydrographic Institute was created by Decree-Law No. 43177, of 22 September 1960. As an organ of the Navy and the State Laboratory has the mission of ensuring research and technological development activities related to the sciences and techniques of the sea, with a view to their priority application in naval military operations, namely in the areas of hydrography, hydrographic cartography, navigation safety, oceanography and marine exploration. The Hydrographic Institute works under the direct dependence of the Chief of Staff of the Navy, under the supervision of the Ministry of National Defense and has administrative and financial autonomy. The competence related to the definition of its strategic guidelines, as well as the setting of objectives and monitoring of its execution, are exercised by the Minister of National Defense in coordination with the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education and with the Minister of the Sea.
