Welcome to the Quesnel School District, located in central British Columbia. We are committed to supporting all learners to achieve their potential. Our school district serves approximately 2950 students with twelve elementary schools, a grade 8-9 junior school, a grade 10-12 secondary school, a secondary alternate school and a distance learning school. The District includes the communities of Quesnel, Nazko and Wells. Approximately one-third of the student population is of Indigenous ancestry. Saskatchewan Distance Learning Center (Sask DLC) is the provincial online provider for Kindergarten to Grade 12 online learning. We support K-12 students learning online full-time, high school students taking one or more online courses within their local school or adult learners looking to upgrade or earn their Grade 12. We offer more than 150 high school courses providing students with choice in their learning to explore interests and potential career paths, with unique electives like power engineering, tourism, autobody, forensic science, animation and IT fundamentals. Grades 10-12 High school students can choose to study online full-time from home, or take one or more online courses at their local school. Sask DLC collaborates with schools across the province to offer high school courses that will fit class schedules and graduation plans. High school students can explore their passions in technology, agriculture, arts, trades and much more! Kindergarten to Grade 9 Sask DLC offers full-time online learning that is engaging and convenient for students and families looking to learn from home, with the support of a certified teacher. Stoney Education Authority
Provides K-12 education for Iethka children in the First Nations communities of Gahna, Mînî Thnî, and Kiska Wapta. The Stoney Education Authority headquarters are based in Mini Thni (Morley), Alberta. It is controlled and funded by the the Stoney Tribal Administration under the direction of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney bands of the Iethka people. There are currently four schools serving our communities.
