Edify
Passion is the secret behind Edify’s success. We offer extra lessons to schoolchildren as well as preschoolers in Maths, Science, Afrikaans, English and Accounting. Lessons are taught by qualified, dynamic teachers. No class has more than six learners in it, so teachers can tailor their approach to each child’s individual needs. The relationships built between teacher and learner are unmatchable in the general school environment, public or private, but Edify believes there is power in each learning environment. We’re here to put that little bit extra in, so that our teachers can have the deep fulfilment of seeing their learners excel. Our results speak for themselves. On average in 2022, learners who attended extension classes with us improved their marks by 16%. An Edify teacher is not necessarily a teacher by qualification – we believe that the academic and life experience of people with professional qualifications offers learners a unique insight into why they need to learn what they are studying. Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy For Girls - Sa
The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (OWLAG) strives for a holistic view of education by defining curriculum as the total learning experience, planned and unplanned, provided for the students. The curriculum includes the academic programme, the co-curriculum, sports and recreational activities, methods employed in the classroom and residences, and those features which determine the Academy's ethos. OWLAG is also a trauma-informed institution. The primary goal of trauma-informed learning, teaching and care is to ensure that all services, interventions, and organisational culture and practices are aligned with understanding the impact of trauma across all areas of functioning. The trauma-informed approach supports recovery and aligns organisational culture so that all areas of the organisation respond "to the effects of trauma at all levels" as opposed to offering interventions or holding practices that are re-traumatising. Throughout their years at the Academy, students learn to embody the spirit of Ubuntu and are able to harness their leadership skills to serve and inspire those around them. Most importantly, we strive to raise future leaders who are able to navigate a variety of social and cultural contexts and who will remain committed to the development of South Africa, the African continent, and the entire globe. The Academy raises future leaders by putting the child at the centre. In this regard, every facet of the Academy aims at ensuring that the girls become the best they can be.

Palanga Publishing & Training Academy
The My Maths Buddy Training Program is our flagship program. Learning with full UNDERSTANDING = QUALITY EDUCATION and this is what My Maths Buddy training and resources help to achieve. Our key goal is UNDERSTANDING because understanding brings RESULTS. The My Maths Buddy Program for teachers is SACE (South African Council of Educators) accredited and we have to date had over teachers through this program so far with great results. Teachers on our program acquire professional skills allowing them to restore learners love for Maths and ability to not only understand Maths fully but also retain the information learned and thus improve their results. Our My Maths Buddy learners program is designed to help a learner handle their confusion of Maths and demystify the believe that Maths is a difficult and not interesting subject. We publish all the resources for the program and more and you can check them out on our website. The below is important information to consider: The Organisation for Economic Co-operation in Europe (OECD) found that Maths results directly impact the economic well-being of a nation, which reflects in the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) They showed – based on their investigation – that where the Maths results are steadily declining, the country has a steadily declining economy or GDP. And in those countries where Maths results were good the economy was benefiting, and the GDP was growing. It’s not to say that it’s only Maths that causes it, but it has a significant effect on any economy. Mathematics is an important subject and we need as many children to do well in this subject as possible so that we create more professionals who then can reverse the economic down trends we are currently experiencing.
