St George's College, Zimbabwe
As a College we believe that the personal development of each student in all aspects of his/her life is the most important function of the school. We believe that this will only be fully possible where all who share responsibility for the student’s development; family, church and school, but especially teachers and colleagues; have the closest possible contact and co-operate together. We strongly believe that this is most likely to occur in a day school where students, their families and teachers interact with each other on a regular basis in School, Sport, Community and Church. Our Christian values are the starting point for the whole enterprise, and we believe that our Catholicity is our most powerful aid in achieving this goal. We are both open to and critical of the values around us and are outward-looking and involved in issues of justice and concern for the needy. The spirit of service to the community is the hallmark of all in the College family.

Sciency Learning
Sciency addresses the critical need for comprehensive STEM education that prepares young learners for future challenges in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Despite the increasing demand for STEM skills, many educational systems lack the resources and curriculum to adequately teach these subjects, leaving a significant skills gap. According to the World Economic Forum, 65% of children entering primary school today will ultimately end up working in completely new job types that don’t yet exist. This highlights the urgency to equip students with skills in AI, coding robotics, and engineering. However, many educational systems struggle to provide adequate resources, engaging content, and up-to-date curricula in STEM fields. Additionally, traditional education often fails to foster practical, hands-on experience, and personalized learning, leading to disengagement and a lack of preparedness for real-world challenges. Addressing these issues is crucial for the next generation to thrive in a technology-driven future.

Wonderfully Wired
We are working to bridge the gap between parents and the experts in learning differences; helping you see the extra-ordinary strengths in your child, support their challenges, and celebrate them first! Being ‘differently wired’ isn’t usually celebrated at school. As many as 30% of children struggle with the way schools teach and test because they highlight the things these children find hard. Kids are bullied, teased, disciplined and medicated and the message is: there is something wrong with you. Once in a while we hear of someone differently wired who has defeated the odds and succeeded: Richard Branson and Jamie Oliver are dyslexic, Greta Thurnberg and Elon Musk are on the autism spectrum. But the message is that these people have thrived despite their ‘disabilities’. I am here to tell you that they succeeded because of the unique strengths of their brain wiring, not despite them. What’s more, there are solutions needed in the modern world that different thinkers are able to provide. That’s why I don’t call them simply, differently wired – I call them Wonderfully Wired.
