Kom forbi - og tag bare farmor med. Studenterhuset er åbent for alle. Vi har folkeskoler, der kommer forbi og drikker kakao under deres byvandring og pensionistkor, der holder fællessangsarrangementer med jævne mellemrum. Har du lyst til at være med til at drive Studenterhuset, så kom ned i cafeen og få en snak med de frivillige og få en tilmeldingsblanket. Så kontakter høvdingene dig hurtigst muligt. Det koster ikke noget at være frivillig andet end nogle timers arbejde, til gengæld får du et stort socialt netværk, gode oplevelser og aldrig en ensom studietid. Studenterhuset ligger på Gammel Torv 10. Nærmere centrum kan man ikke komme rent geografisk. Det er her på Gammel Torv studietiden i Aalborg begynder med morgenmad og fællessang under kyndig vejledning af Studenterpræsten og Co. Det er også her, et nyt liv kan begynde at gro. Efter at have rykket teltpælene op og flyttet til Aalborg kan det være svært at finde fodfæstet uden de gamle venner, uden skakklubben, mors varme mad og fars gratis avis. Provinsen kan virke lige så skræmmende for københavneren, som storbyen er uudholdelig for mekanikerens datter fra Skodborg. Det er her, der er brug for at have mennesker omkring sig. Studenterhuset danner rammerne om en lang række begivenheder i Aalborg, men er også et af de vigtige sociale tilbud i byen. Her kan man altid møde andre studerende - andre nye aalborgensere, nye venner, kærester, finde et værelse, læse dagens avis…

We dream of creating a community for both experienced and entry level participants. FACEOFF is a new and rapidly growing event within the art of movement. Containing elements of gymnastics, tricking, breakdance and parkour, we entertain and astonish the audience in Forum Horsens and, through live streaming, the rest of the world. FACEOFF unites the best athletes in the sports in a unique competition, constantly pushing the boundaries of what the human body can accomplish. Through six unique disciplines the talented athletes, combined with heavy rhythms and fire shows, create an unpredictable show that captivates and inspires the audience. The rules are easy and straight forward, and in their simplicity motivate the athletes to think creatively, push boundaries and perform to the best of their abilities. FACEOFF, in other words, is the necessary face-lift gymnastics has been craving, to reach unseen heights. The simplicity of the rules makes the show attractive and entertaining to everyone - regardless of their age. The competition, the setup, the rules and the atmosphere is designed to promote and bolster the athletes’ individual competencies and extraordinary performances. Unlike traditional competitions, where errors are punished, we applaud the effort. The athletes are judged by their ability to captivate and confound both the audience and the judges, through their creativity, attitude, skill, showmanship and personality.

Tobaksgaarden er et gammelt fabrikskompleks beliggende i centrum af Assens By. Her findes et spændende og levende miljø med cafe, biograf, rytmisk spillested, musikskole, kunstudstillinger o.m.a. Året rundt er der liv i Tobaksgaarden, hvor man både kan opleve gode koncerter, stand up shows, teater og få sig en god madoplevelse eller bare nyde en kold øl eller en kop kaffe. Tobaksgaarden præsenterer et bredt kulturelt program, med masser af kulturtilbud på alle planer - og visionen er, at forestå en række interessante arrangementer, som tilgodeser den lokale kultur, men samtidig også vise indslag af aktuelle strømninger fra den kulturelle omverden. Tobaksgaarden tilstræber mangfoldighed, kvalitet og fornyelse - og rummer derfor næsten enhver eksisterende kunstform; scenekunst, teater, stand up, klassisk og nutidig musik, opera, rock, pop, jazz og folkemusik, digital kunst, symposier og andre former for underholdning for alle aldersgrupper. Hjertet i kulturhuset er Cafe Tobaksgaarden hvor uformel cafe, hygge og transit smelter sammen. Der er tale om er en uformel og folkelig café og mødested, hvor der er i stor udstrækning opereres med selvbetjening. Caféen drives af Tobaksgaarden og har åbent alle ugens dage kl. 11-22, søndag dog kun kl. Tobaksgaarden har siden åbningen været kulturelt hjemsted for både erhvervsliv og foreningsliv. Denne usædvanlige kombination har delvist været dikteret af nødvendigheden, men den har også medført udsædvanlige samarbejdsformer, hvor synergien mellem de forskellige aktører indgår som en bærende værdi i samarbejdet. Tobaksgaarden er så at sige født med synergi som værdigrundlag og har lært sig at udnytte fordelene proaktivt. Tobaksgaarden har gode samarbejdsrelationer med andre kulturinstitutioner – såvel lokalt som nationalt. Lokalt har Tobaksgaarden gennem flere år indgået samarbejde eller bistået som sparringspartner eller leverandør for både kultur- og erhvervslivet i Assens Kommune.

Dystopia Haunted House er et amerikansk-inspireret totalteater, som skildrer en nær dyster fremtid, hvor den verden vi kender er ved at løbe tør for livsnødvendige ressourcer. Som gæst i Dystopia Haunted House bliver man hovedperson i fortællingen og skal bevæge sig igennem special-designede rum og kulisser. DYSTOPIA Entertainment arrangerer også horrorløbet DYSTOPIA Horror Run. Til dette løb skal deltagerne klare sig igennem et 5km terræn med masser af udfordringer og zombier. Som deltager i løbet har man mulighed for at påvirke historien samt årets Haunted House via forskellige opgaver og beslutninger. Til familierne arrangerer DYSTOPIA også hvert år en påskejagt.
