In the early to late 80s, the entire entertainment industry in Sierra Leone was dominated by groups like Davalgees, Geneneers, Falcons, Whispers and Solid Gold. The founding members of Sierra Gold Entertainment along with their first artists were all members of Solid Gold and Davalgees in Sierra Leone. The Solid Gold Dancers named after the dancing group in the United States were the teenage idols of the day in Sierra Leone admired by thousands of fans. With the migration of Sierra Leoneans in the 90s to the US and England all of the Solid Gold members departed the shores of Sierra Leone in pursuit of their dreams. Members of the Solid Gold of Sierra Leone now adults in their own right and after securing a future for themselves decided to pursue their passion through the establishment of Sierra Gold Entertainment. Sierra representing their country of origin Sierra Leone, Gold representing the quality and precious stones found in the country and Records representing our passion for music. The first music artists signed by Sierra Gold Entertainment, Fulani, were the only members of the Solid Gold of Sierra Leone to continue with music as a career. Ahmad and Mohamed now carry on by pursuing the dream of making great music for their fans. Sierra Gold Entertaiment is committed to bringing the diverse sounds and films of Africa to you. From traditional African music and movies to African Hip Hop we will bring you the best that Africa has to offer in music and movies.
