The main indication once an Entity or Product has got the Seal, is a Sounding Public Declaration that they are conserving the natural resources, the biodiversity, the environment and have already contributed to reduce climate change damages by having effectively reduced their Carbon Foot Print. The GREEN BRANDS Egypt's Seal Holder is announcing that by having the Seal, he is making a significant contribution for the country's sustainable development plans and the achievement of the UN SDGs. Each additional Holder of GREEN BRANDS Egypt's Seal is effectively helping the implementation of the government's goal to greening Egypt's economy and to reaching the target of "ZERO EMMISSIOINS" BY 2050. Green Hurghada is a collaborative initiative implemented by the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). Our Key Focus Areas- Renewable Energy - Energy Efficiency - E-mobility - Nature-Based Solutions - Climate-Smart Technologies Project Components- Strategic Policy Development: Develop a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) to guide sustainable tourism development and strengthen institutional capacity for applying Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) in tourism and related sectors- Green Technology Investments: Develop a climate-smart capital investment plan with a pipeline of green investments and develop a financial mechanism to incentivize the tourism sector to invest in climate-smart technologies and nature-based solutions- Long-Term Sustainability: Enhance stakeholder capacities, awareness, and partnerships to promote sustainable tourism practices and improve protected area management, community participation, and benefit-sharing from conservation and biodiversity-friendly tourism- Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track project implementation and impact and conduct a mid-term review and terminal evaluation to assess progress and outcomes.
